1. Overview

TweetGuard is committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. We collect only what is necessary to operate the Service.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account data: Your email address and authentication tokens, collected when you sign in via Google or magic link.
  • Credit and payment data: Transaction records managed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or payment instrument details.
  • Verification history: A record of verifications run (timestamp, verdict, credit consumed) stored for your dashboard history.

3. Screenshot Data

Screenshots you upload are processed in memory to extract text via OCR and are not stored after the verification is complete. We do not retain images on our servers beyond the duration of a single verification request. The extracted text used for comparison is stored only as part of your verification result record.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • To authenticate your account and maintain your session.
  • To track and display your credit balance and verification history.
  • To process payments and send payment-related communications via Stripe.
  • To improve service reliability and diagnose errors. We do not use your data to train AI models.

5. Third-Party Services

TweetGuard uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • Supabase — authentication and database storage.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • X/Twitter API — fetching live tweet data for comparison. We do not write to the API or access private tweet data.

6. Data Retention

Your account and verification history are retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@tweetguard.app.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
